Healthy Benefits of Wyoming Locally Raised Beef

Compared to grain-fed beef, grass-fed beef has a higher concentration of Vitamins A. D. E. and other vital antioxidants. Plus, it provides a significant quantity of Omega-3 fatty acids. This beef contains lutein and beta-carotene, making the meat one of the most nutrient-dense proteins available on the consumer market. Beef from grass-fed cows also contains a beneficial fatty acid called CLA that supports healthy blood sugar levels.

Our Local Pasture-Fattened Cattle

Our locally raised beef in Wyoming comes from cattle fattened in open pastures. Touchstone Angus does not use growth hormones, grain fed in a feedlot, or provide our cattle with antibiotics. We understand that many of the mentioned benefits derive from healthy fat and guarantee our cattle are well-fattened on grass to reap rich benefits and robust flavor.

Our Colorado and Wyoming Grass-Finished Beef Is Healthy

Grass-fed, Grass-finished beef is known to be 3 to 4 times higher in CLA (conjugated linoleic acid). CLA is an amino acid believed to reduce the risk of cancer, obesity, diabetes, and a number of autoimmune disorders. Our Angus beef for sale also has a near- ideal 3:1 ratio of Omega 6 fats to Omega 3, comparable to the best wild salmon without the potential for mercury contamination. This compares to ratios as high as 20:1 ratio for corn-fed beef. You'll find high quantities of beta carotene and as much as 4 times more Vitamins A and D than corn-fed beef.

Richer, Beef Flavor

The flavor of grass-fed Angus beef is commonly described as more complex and robust or having a fuller beef flavor. Many of our customers have acquired a taste for grass-fed beef and now prefer the taste to corn-fed.

Tender

Our grass-fed beef is produced in Colorado from predominantly Angus cattle. Agnus grass-fed beef proves to be tender and flavorful. Further, the finished beef is naturally dry-aged for about 14 days, compared to the 2-5-day aging in the supermarket. We do this to increase enhance the tenderness of the beef.
